    i remember seeing the hilux's overseas as a double cab years ago,
    before they were available in the U.S.

    Exactly!

    I would get pissed seeing these hilux double cabs overseas, because they looked so good,
    and they were not made for the states at that time.
    And i would wonder why??? But dont have that problem any more

    DUDE I want nothing more than a diesel HILUX. Is yours a 2.5 or 3.5 diesel? Gas? Damn I want one! The 2.5 diesel gets 35mpg

    Someone around were I live has a white Hilux. They look alot smaller then the Tacoma.

    I had a 1977 Hilux (RIP). It was smaller than the Tacoma. It was a nice simple truck but tough as nails.

    Hilux's are all over the place in Jamaica. Seen one here but it was a couple of guys doing a drive/tour from Cape Horn to Alaska. I took some pics with it I'll post. After trip they shipped it back to Europe I think where they were from.
