Help! Fuse problem??

I have an 07' Access Cab and today i was messing with my trailer adapter and it sparked and im quite sure i blew a fuse because.... i got shifter to lock up the shifter indication lights on the dash wnt come on, my passenger seatbelt warning is on my turn signals dnt work and my a/c button doesnt work PLEASE HELP im sure its something dumb and this has happened before but the dealership never told exactly where they fixed it and charged me damn $83 bucks to fix it all they said was that there were two fuses messed up So please any help ASAP is apprecitated

 

Well did you check all your fuses? Thats probably the problem.

 

take a good small flashlight and start checking all the fuses
If it took out all of that, it should be easy to see which one is blown.
look for the one with the metal strip inside that has melted, may look burnt

 

Use this PDF for assistance. I would not do this again if I were you. Whenever you work on electrical shit, unhook the negative cable from the battery.

 

Ive checked every fuse in the fuse box in the engine compartment and in the cab everything seems to be good. Im missing something obviously dangit.

 

A fuse is, without any doubt, blown.

The fact that you have to pay a dealer $83 to replace two fuses that cost about $2.50 for a pack of 5 really frightens me, in the sense that I don't actually know if any advice I could give you would be helpful-

BUT, you need to turn your truck OFF, access your fuse panel in both the cab and under the hood and start inspecting. You have to use the fuse puller that should come attached to the plastic cover of the fuse panel and pull each individual fuse out, one by one, and inspect them. the small sliver of metal should be connected through the entire body of the fuse.

Haha i used a test light and got nothing i'm gonna have to go old fashion and check by hand every dang one... but my question is.. its not one of the larger fuses or something of that nature is it?

 

You will need to check them all including looking at the relay's to make sure none looked scorched.

 

im new to electronics i know a little bit but not much im 18 and learning please explain what you mean by checking those relays in the fuse box how do i? sorry for my ignorance

 

The relays and more fuses are located in the relay box inside the engine compartment. That PDF I attached will show you the location. Check those fuses first. If all are good, you can pull the relays. A scorched relay will have black marks.

IGN no. 2 is ok i just check it and so is TAIL

 

IGN1 failure causes the shifter to lock up. I'd start there personally.

 

Turns out i found at least one it was the IG1 maybe more? i havnt gotten to replace it yet but i really appreciate you help guys this site has saved my tail more times than i can count. Lets hope it was just this one fuse. Do you think it might be one more?

I had a similar problem. When i hooked up my trailer and took it out of park the fuse would blow. Turns out the back up lights on my trailer were grounded.
