Full Electric Retrofit

Anyone know whether a Taco has ever been made into a full electric, and where to find information?

 

Not sure about a tacoma but there was going to be a series on Discovery but after the promo video, they disappeared. I remember going to the site and it was only a page that was under construction. I think they were out of LA...

Makes sense to investigate ev conversions and I applaud those who have done it. I personally think it's a good idea to recycle the older Toyo trucks into ev grocery getters.
I bought a 95 X cab with an engine knock thinking that I might give it a try. The cost to have an experianced individual do it is around 10K parts & labor www.greenshedconversions.com Many states give a tax credit towards the conversion...Ga allows $2500. Unfortunately, the range is limited 20-50 miles on a charge, but if it's used primarily as a 2nd vehicle, it could work well.
There is also an EV drag racing assn and if you haven't seen the White Zombie Datsun/ Plasma Boy Racing Team blow the doors off it's competitors then you should check it out ...mid 11's at 120 in the 1/4 mile.
