Sorry for my ignorance or laziness to find which page speaks of the low fuel LED. Does anyone know the approximate fuel remaining when the low fuel LED begins to light???

In other words, when the LED initially lights, how many miles do I have to find the cheapest fuel in the area???

    Thankx in advance!!!

Never tested it out.... but my light comes on when the needle is like 1/8" away from the empty line. My scangauge estimates there's about 50+ miles left. I've come within 20 and was still good with atleast a couple gallons left in the tank.

Not something to be planning out.All the garbage in your gas tank will get stuck in your filter or worse.Hindering performance.Been stuck cuz I pushed the limit one to many times.Filter was clogged with crap and I was 12 miles from a main road and 25 from the closest town.Gas stations arent the best at changing their filters! And a tow truck bill to the boonies is painful:(

Tank capacity is 21 gallons. I used to think the light came on at about 3 gallons left in the tank because I would put in about 18 gallons however I still had to drive a bit after the light came on. I've only once though had it come on since I installed my ScanGauge. I was surprised that it came on with 4.5 gallons left in the tank. I thought the ScanGauge was off but when I filled up it was within .1 gallons of what it expected me to add in.

My theory is that the lines on the gauge itself represents about 16 gallons or 4 gallons per quarter with about 2.5 gallons each above full and below empty.

I put 14.8 in mine today. The gauge read a needle with below 1/4.
