    :confused:Ok,,

Hubbys truck.. 06 Tacoma 4x4 SR5.46K miles,,,, Black Does not have Daytime running lights... does not have air bags in the side of seats..

Mine,, 06 PreRunner SR5...Blue(indigo ink)30K miles,,,,lol Has daytime running lights, (burnt into housing) and has airbags in the side of front seats... Also has this little plastic thing with a little cover on it.. with just a screw in it right above front side windows.. other doesnt...almost like a place where clothes hooks could have been attached,, but these are in the front, not rear...lol

Why the differences? So far this is all we found... Both bought in Florida... One in Stewart and mine in Tampa

Oh yeah,, and his has that whistle in the front window... hate it...lol

Will have to get a pick of it and post..

the side airbags were an option, but an option not available in all areas. the airbags came with the drl's. i could not order a truck with side airbags in CT until they became standard in 09

I'm glad I didn't buy earlier--I wanted the side airbags but really dislike DRL.

Safety equipment should be standard, not an option. Toyota is one of the worst when it comes to this. When purchasing an 07 Yaris, it took forever to find one with side airbags. And in some regions, it was not even available. On the Honda FIT and Nissan Versa that same year, they were standard equipment.

Conversely, when I was cross-shopping 2009 Tacoma and Frontier, Nissan had to look all the way to New Jersey (1200 miles away) to find the truck I wanted with side air bags. The dealer said the sticking point was the bags--they couldn't find many trucks with them at all.

yea, differences are in the options...im assuming you bought them both used?

you can disable the DTRL w/ a simple relay change..shoot guys like them so much here im sure you could find someone to GIVE you $20 and trade relays...!

Hey thank you for all the replies... Been off here a lil bit due to surgery on my hand,,, was hard to type... and just been vegging out mostly....

I did wax it with my good but non dominate hand.. used the meguiars nxt generation wax.. I had to do something to my new baby...lol
I tell ya,, that is a lot of hard work,, doing it all one handed... took me 2 days,, doing it in sections and taking breaks in between.. whew.. but I like "SHINY",, like most women do.. ;)
