Attempting Memorial Day Grillcraft install

Have my grillcraft upper and lowers in hand and ready to install. However the removal of the grill/front bumper cover seems to be a little more tedious than I expected.

I removed the upper two screws and pins (or whatever the plastic things are called) easily enough and there appears to be two more of the plastic pins on the bottom side of it. I figured I would need to remove the bumper cover anyway to do the bottom grill and in doing so would make it easier to remove the bottom two pins. After removing 4 screws and 4 pins from the bottom bumper cover I am having a hard time finding what else I need to remove to access the other pins? Do the headlights need to come out?

I've searched for instructions to no avail?

Something tells me I am likely being an idiot and overlooking something very easy, but can anyone point it out to me?

 

If you're talking about the grill, its 2 push/snap things, plus 2 screws, one on each side. Once you have those out, pull up and it all pops out.

The bumper has a lot more going on, theres directions around here somewhere for that.

 

Thanks Eric... I wasn't applying enough pressure to remove the grill, from looking at it from above I thought there were two of the snap things holding it from the bottom side

After pulling with a little force it is removed now!

Now if I can figure out the bottom bumper.

 

Yeah first time I popped mine out I had to close my eyes so I wouldn't see it snap in half in case I was blowing it. Have fun on the mod, post pics etc.

 

I havent removed the bottom bumper yet, but I do know it has a bunch of stuff holding it on.

 

Got the bottom bumper off, talk about a pain in the ass...

 

Now it is time to cut and install the grill and the the re-installation - i am absolutely dreading the reinstall of the bottom bumper...

 

I did my bottom grill while the top grill was out, it's easy to reach in from the backside of the bumper with the top grill removed

 

Well this is just great, bumper reinstall took all of about 20 minutes which was a relief. I then started to attempt to cut out the top grill and my sawzall is not working. My only friend with tools that lives near me says he left his tools (including his sawzall) at work over the holiday weekend. Looks like I am about to pop the upper grill back in and continue this project tomorrow.
