Paint job looks pretty good. How sturdy is the lid,,,, can you sit on the lid without warping it?

I would also try your local Autozone....Purchased mine there and after a few "oops" ,total cost including the 4 "Grips" was just over $200....
It is a Betterbuilt box ( Duralast name tag;) ) and has survived my abuse..it is my step to wash the roof and sorry no inside pix BUT it is loaded ;recovery equipment and my "Mack Office" supplies....

    Phantom,

Thank you for noticing the enforcements;)....And no squeaks with mine due to the bed rails.....
I was just giving another option too someone with "tight " $$$..
The off road shop I work at part time can get you the expensive boxes or these...all it takes is $$$$$.....BUT shipping to Texas ;)..

You might pay a little more for the dee zee or the uws, but I think its worth the quality of the box. I know its over budget but you may want to save a little more money to get one of these. The powder coating will also hold up a lot better than a painted one will. But when you decide what you want to do post some pics up.

I love my tool box on my extended cab, but personally I would never put one on a double cab. Too little bed space as is.

I'd get a black UWS if you still wanted to tho.

I only use the bed to haul my sons atv. I already measured and the atv will fit fine with the tool box....tailgate down of course (its a suzuki LP80). Plus I need more storage space, the storage under the back seats isnt enough for me.

I looked at a few DEE ZEE boxes earlier and they looked and felt flimsy.....

    toast,

I just "caught" you are in Florida...why not cruise over to Perry,Florida and take a "tour" of the UWS plant or do the same with "Betterbuilt"...their up in Pensacola.;)....
You could be the TW "eyes" on for who does things better and maybe get "perks" from them to help their sales;):)..

I like all this input because WE will start stocking some tool boxes late June/July and would rather have inventory that will move....

what i would do is get a used one on craigslist and then get it linexed or
powder coated black. there is not much point in buying a brand new one if
    your going to paint it.
