new to this, how much should i pay for an alternator

    how much should i pay for a new or referb alternator for my 2005 prerunner? what should i expect to pay for labor? i am in dallas tx. thanks for any and all help yall can provide.

    Well... I really exactly don't know what an alternator is worth... but I don't see myself paying over about $250 to get my hands on one. Post up a want to buy in the Buy/Sell/Trade section. There are some junkyard rats on here who would be more than happy to find you one and probably give you a much better price than the dealer.
