There are a ton of assholes in this thread that's for sure.

I bet 50% of Tacoma buyers are unaware they are driving around with a plastic bed; but I forgot everyone is this forum is perfect. Also, a 25K investment isnt crap compared to a home. How many of you know everything about your house? Furnace type? BTU's? Central AC? Type? Electric service voltage? Beam size? Foundation thickness? Insulation type? I'll stop there.

Next time why dont some of you just try to help the guy out instead of insulting him.

Looks like a scratch to me. I'm pretty sure the bed is thicker than a soda bottle.

Seeing the third gen section forced me to get a Ford...
visit TTORA some more and see where the real asses reside. they will flame anyone and everyone that asks any question that someone else may know the answer to. there are some here that is for sure, but posts like this dont help the OP either and furthers the others' assholishness. persistent assholes get dealt with here, hence no more PreRunner, etc. at other sites they get hummers from the other guys

like they say about everything from movies to music to here, if ya dont like it, dont view/listen/post.

So you read reviews, did research and yet you completely missed the main place to go for information?

Go to Toyota.com select trucks then Tacoma and then select "Features and specs" and the very first thing is the following
"Fiber-reinforced Sheet-Molded Composite (SMC) inner bed with steel outer panels, storage compartments, rail caps and removable tailgate"
