2005 Doublecab 4.0 burning oil ?????

I have noticed lately that when the wife starts her tacoma it puffs blue smoked for the first couple seconds in the morning. I have changed the oil twice since we noticed it and it hasn't gotten worse or better. We haven't had to add any oil so i don't think it's drinking it, but I don't like the blue smoke either. Once it warms up it seems to be fine. The pickup has 54k miles on it. Been running 5w30 in it since we bought it acouple years ago, and just put some 10w30 in it a week ago. Anyone else had this issue? We love the pickup and don't want to get rid of it I just want to get it fixed before it gets worse.

I have read a few posts about the same - I have 2009 with 26,000 miles - just started having blue smoke - not good.
