Stock struts and springs vs Trd blistein struts and springs??????

Hey guys I just scored a set of TRD Blistein struts and springs. I am wondering if when I install these on my 06 dbl cab will they make it sit a little higher then just plain stock ones. They are off a 09 TRD dbl cab or should I add a set of spacers? Also what is a good kind of spacers to go with. Thanks

Why lift a $25,000 truck with a $100 piece of metal?

 

Ok will they give me a different ride then stock. I feel a little stupid now I already bought them.

If they are off a Sport it will still have a soft ride, but if they are off an off road it will have a stiffer ride. If you want just a little bit of lift, the Bilstein 5100s are a good choice of upgrade.

 

they wont give you lift but trd shocks and springs are much better than the regular sr5 and base models

Yes you are gonna want to spend about 10% of msrp on a lift. So if you truck was 25k your gonna want spend about 2.5k on front shocks/UCA's and rear Leaf/Shocks (My logic is undeniable ).

 

My point is that you shouldn't skimp on a lift like a spacer, which can damage your ball joints, top out your crappy stock shocks, and give you a terrible ride quality. Something is so crude to me about just jamming a piece of metal into your stock suspension.

There several inexpensive options that are good lifts, such as OME springs and shocks, or Bilstein 5100 adjustable shocks. The Bilsteins are $200 and the OME setup isn't a whole lot more.

I'm not talking about long travel or king setups here....just something basic but of decent quality!
