Powerslot Cryo and SS Overhaul

I was reading on TW about these SS lines and how everyone loves them. As I was browsing one of the threads someone posted a link to tirerack.com and I was just going to buy the SS lines to try them out and ended up getting slotted cryo treated rotors too Why did they have to show me that link

Tomorrow with Blackcat's(from XRU) help I will install them and see how it goes. The 12.5" rotor and 4 piston caliper are already overkill in my opinion, so this should be interesting

 

$300 for the rotors and $118 for the SS lines. Pricey stuff, but I warped my stockers from all the 1/4 mile racing. I wanted something stronger

I am jealous! I have always wanted to upgrade my brakes like that with ceramic pads.

Good choices. If it's the same as I experienced on other vehicles, the difference will be striking compared to stock.

 

Ok well we got them on almost....

Forgot to bring a bleeder so we just did the rotors and will do the SS lines next Saturday. We had a group of guys waiting around to go make a run up the mtn so it was no big deal.

Ok but just with the rotors on...holy crap, it brakes so much faster. I was NOT expecting that much difference at all. The stopping distance is shortened quite a lot.

So the SS lines go on next, I cant wait to see the diff. I'll get some pictures up soon

Did you ever take any pictures of the rotors on?
I too am in need of pads and my rotors are warped too. Looking to see what options I have before I make the investment.

 

Yea, I only did the front lines though. We had a hard time getting them to thread on. Not sure why. anyways, it makes a nice difference doing all of this

just needs some better pads now. So far I am happy. I dont have pics, but I can take some soon

 

So you didn't replace your pads at the same time you replaced your rotors? I was just curious to know how they look now after a few months of driving. Thanks brother, I appreciate the info.

No I kept the pads. I had bought them only a few thousand miles before the powerslots. Maybe 4000 miles, so they looked brand new still

The powerslots still look brand new right now as well. Very happy with them

 

what about the brake pads????
