Front Plate

Id like to put a plate on my front bumper, but i don't want it to be drilled because we don't need front license plates in LA. Is there a way to mount something without drilling holes in? thanks

Just to mount the plate? or mounting the holder?

 

Why not just mount the line?

 

You can get a plastic plate mount at Autozone or many other stores for 3.99. This can mount a little lower than the normal mounting position than the screw holes by using plastic ties. You can then mount a plate into the mount with short screws and no holes in the bumper. I had both options and made the holes. It won't kill your truck. It's funny, I used to think the same way, no holes, but now I drill holes in 200K fishing boats installing electronics and I am not shy about it any more. An example is my Sirius Starmate, all of the wires are hidden, not one is visible, but it required drilling a decent size hole in the back of the cubby to fish the wires through. But my thought is that I am never getting rid of this truck and if I do a few holes for custom installations are not going to matter. I say drill the holes as I did and plastic tie the bottom of the plate to hold the bottom in place. If you sell the truck just leave the mount there. Good luck.
