This drives me nuts!!! When sitting in my truck (engine off, radio on... key in ACC position) the power windows do not operate. Is there any way to fix this... tried a search but came up empty handed.

    thanks

Then this must be your first Toyota then?
I've had Fords,Nissans and Hondas and they were all just like my Toyotas.

as long as you don't open the door you just have to put the key to "on" for a second and they you can put it back to acc and have your power windows, just make sure your lights are off because they will also stay on until you open the door

This is what I do. Turn the switch to ON for just a nanosecond and then back to whatever setting I like...or even remove the keys. From the last time the key was in the ON position, you have 30 seconds (at least I think it's 30 and not 20 or 40?) to roll them up or down as you please. But if you open a door before the 30 seconds elapses, or have a door open when you do this, it cancels the timer.

Why does it bug me? Well I spend a lot of time in my truck (because of work) and if I am in there listening to the radio and I want the window down I have to turn the key on which turns off my SIRIUS radio and all the lights and buzzers and gauges and what not turn on,then I adjust my window while the radio comes on, then I switch it back ACC and the radio turns off then back on again!
Even writing it is annoying!! Sorry to bore everyone

Yeah, I remember that problem with satellite radio when I had it (years ago). Now everyone should understand where you're coming from on the complaint/issue.

When I had my 06 Tacoma. I jumped a wire from one fuse to another fuse and windows worked after that in acc position.

Alright “we” need a write up, what did you do? As the op said, it drove me nuts too. After the first 10 years in a Tacoma I’ve learned to live with it.

As an Old Dude. I have never seen any power windows in a car or truck that operated in the ACC Position.

Every one I've ever seen only operates in the On Position.

Then again I have never driven a Heep with power windows. Only a Willys Jeep made by Willys Overland Motors.

I guess with the proper initiative you could reroute the window control power to the ACC Position power.
