DTRL LED Mod ?

Ok I've searched but can't find if anyone has changed there DTRL, Blinker bulbs out with Led's. My lens have started melting and Toyota is going to replace them so I would like to change out then bulb's with Led's. I saw where you would have to change out the relay so the blinkers would work properly.

I sell a bulb called a switchback. This allows for white dtrl and turns amber when turn signal is activated. You are going have to buy resisters to slow the hyper flashing down. If you interested pm me and ill send you a quote with the leds and resisters. I also have all other leds both inside and out for all vehicles.

 

There is an electronic LED flasher that eliminates the need for those HOT resistors. I have one in my all LED truck.

Some DTRLs have a pulsating voltage that ruins the LEDs. Just beware that they can go out for no reason.

Also, buy really good LEDs with 3-chip SMDs or high power chips. Super bright LEDs are good, too. But just be careful. I have bought thousands of LED lights in the past and have had really good results with some and bad results with others. Some of the $50 bulbs actually have really excellent light output, but the 50/50 radial LEDs actually went out due to faulty resistors in them.

 

I know and the quality of leds I sell are excellent. Have had the ones on my truck over 2 years and supply a lit san diegans as well as other all over the US and a few in canada.

 

I understand flashers can be used but I haven't had Any problems with resisters. Your right though you can use flashers or resisters but they do the same thing just adds resistance. The flashers are a little more and try to keep the prices down for customers.
