    I've heard the auto transmission on our tacomas actually "adapt" to your driving habits? Like, if you unplug your battery to reset, it will learn your driving habits all over again.


    True? how does this work?

    I think you unplug the battery for 15 minutes, could be longer I'm not sure but the statement is true.

    i've heard that but its not true.on honda transmissions its called grade logic.the pcm monitors engine speed,throttle position,braking,and a number of other sensors to determine how the trans shifts.ounce the battery is unplugged it will relearn idle controls.
