I have just had a toytec 2 1/2"lift installed on my 09 tacoma double cab. spacers in the front aal in the rear. I had my front tires aligned but they are still cutting in at the bottom and ruining my tires. I was wondering if getting the spidertrax tire spacers would help so it could be aligned without hitting the control arms.
    thanks for any input

What are your alignment numbers at. The tire shouldn't be rubbing the spindle at all. Spacers will help if it is, but that won't fix your alignment. You'll need to purchase a set of aftermarket UCAs if they can't get it aligned.

I'd recommend LR or TC UCAs from Wheeler's Off Road

From how you describe it, it sounds like you have a lot of positive camber. I would go to another alignment shop. The only problem people run into with a 2.5" lift is running our of caster adjustment, but you shouldn't have any trouble getting camber and toe within spec.

if it adjusted any more it is going to hit my control arms.
Would getting those toytec light racing control arms help?

No one on here is going to be able to help you until you tell us what your current alignment settings are. They should have given you a print out at the shop before you left.

A bunch a cool stickers, a bada ass MetalMiller Tx Longhorns grill emblem painted Hemi Orange, JBA long tube headers with o2 sims, Diff breather mod, Red LED interior lights, Fancy head unit that plays ipod n movies, Also DIY install factory stuff like, factory cruise control, factory intermittent wipers, OME nitro struts with 886x springs and toy tec top plate, JBA high caster UCA's for better alignmnet and dey beefier too, Old Man Emu Dakar leaf springs in da rear with the gear, U bolt flipper, Ivan Stewart TRD rims with 33" K Bro 2's, some bad ass weather tech floor liners so I don't muck up my interior, an ATO shackle flipper for mo travel in da rear wit the gear, also super shiny Fox 2.0 shocks back there too, all sorts of steal armor for bouncing off of the rocks like demello sliders, AP front skid, trans skid, n transfer skid, demello gas tank skid, and a tough as nails ARB bumper with warn 8k winch, I'm sure there's more
Find a better mech to do the alignment. I thought I had the same prob. Took mine to one NTB and they said they could get it close to spec but not all the way. Drove it and the wheel was cocked to the right and drifting to the left. So I took it to another NTB and they said that ain't right and the guy took an hour and a half to do it but it's spot on. Gonna use only him from now on. So the point is ditch the lazy mechanic and find a new one.

if your hitting the control arms then your tires are too big for the wheels your have and the alignment shop is compensating for it by giving you too much positive camber.

The lift your running is totally normal for our trucks and will not have a problem getting aligned right....as long as you have a good alingment shop and your tires are not too big.
