access tonneau cover, smitty built side steps
Yes I am asking another side step question. I was picking a buddy of mine up at the local 4 wheel parts store (he was getting his FJ lifted) and I asked them about side steps. The guy said he could get me smittybilt side steps for 150 out the door same price as on their web site in black. Has anyone had any problems with them fitting without having to drill a bunch of holes? How do they look in black with a dark gray or black truck? I was looking at the stock ones for 350 or so shipped but with the money I save getting these I can almost pay for a tonneau cover. What do you all think?
    Thanks

Regardless of what you decide to do, don't buy Toyota factory steps. IMO you can get better quality at much less price. Everyone has their own opinions of course, I've got polished SS from Westin and I'm happy with them. And I got them for considerably less that the painted Toyota oval tubes.

I think you should sign up on their site and wait to be emailed a 15%-20% off coupon/sale notification since it is not really a "need right now" item. That way you can save some cash.
