quick question re: spray paint

hey fellas, am preparing to spraypaint a chrome metal TRD grill insert gloss black with an old can of rustoleum--never used. don't wanna have to run to the store for a newer can or primer but this stuff is perhaps 5 years old! is it still good? it does contain toluol and xylol. lightly sanded the grill emblem first. it's all metal btw, not a sticker. thanks!!!!!

 

Only one way to find out if it is good. Spray something--find something to test it on BEFORE you spray your emblem. That's what I'd do.

 

x2, let it dry completely then see how it looks and if it has an even coat.
