Tonneau Bed Cover For 2012 TRD Sport Short Bed

I would like to put a bed cover on my 2012 short bed. I have seen tri-folds like this on ebay for around $250. Has anybody ever gone with one of these? Is the quality ok? What do you think is the best bed cover out there and what price did you pay? Pictures are great and I want to stay away from drilling. The link I listed shows it comes with a track mount system.

 

for about 50 bucks more you can get an actual extang tri fold.

I went with the Tonno Pro tri fold. Pretty good cover for the price...you can find if for $279 or so. The only little flaw...depending on if this matters to you or not...is that the cover doesn't sit well on the front edge of the bed. It leaves a small gap because the front edge of the bed is slightly lower than the sides. Search for Tonno Pro...there are few threads about this cover.

 

I am now considering a hard folding cover. I have got it down to Bakflip G2 and Extang. I have read the con on the Bakflip is it has two additional rails that can interfere with the rail system. I have also read that the Extang is it is a little short and everybody wishes it was two inches longer. I am not sure what way to go now???

 

i decided on the bakflip. I still have to purchase it when I get my truck.

The bakflip will block your rails when installed. There are some d-rings you can add to add tie downs with the bakflip.

 

I got the Bakflip G2 off Ebay for $570 deliverd new and I love it. Funny thing is I also got the Amp bed extender at the same time. The Bakflip took 30 mintues and went like a breeze. The bed extender took 2 hours and was an 8 on the pain in the a** scale

 

i too im looking at a trifold for a 2012 longbed,ive had an extang in the past and the quality seemed nice but ive been looking at the tonno pro also. anyone purchased either one lately ?

 

I'd recommend for the Undercover hardcover tonneau.

 

I bought a hard cover that folds up. Could stand on it if you want. Advanced in the company. I am beginning to not like it. Had it about two years and just broke a lift tab off the side. It leaks through the locks and the locks freeze solid in the winter.
I'll be calling the company on Monday to what they can do for me but I suspect I'll just yank it off and leave it off.

 

Save up your bucks and go for an Undercover. It is only 30-35 pound and you and all your buddies can stand on it. It is waterproof and can be taken off in less than 5 minutes if you are going slow.
