BDS suspension lifts for 2nd gen Tacos

    I have run BDS lift kits in several of my past vehicles, I like their quality, as well as their "no fine print, you break it we replace it" warranty. For the record, I've wheeled their stuff pretty hard and never once had to use the warranty.

    Anyway, I noticed BDS currently only offers 1st gen Taco owners a lift kit. I was kind of annoyed, so I wrote to BDS to let them know they were really missing out on an opportunity with so many 2nd gen Taco owners who upgrade their suspensions. I was told they will be releasing new kits very shortly. At SEMA they showed a 6" lift for the Tacoma, and other options and sizes are to follow.

    Always cool to have another option. I think that I have seen some of their kits being used on a show for the outdoor channel where they "pimp" someone's ride "off-road style".

    From the pic you provided it appears to have most of the same parts as a Pro Comp 6" lift....minus the compression struts, add-a-leaf, rubber spacers & a few other odd/ends.

    Most (all?) 6" 'lift' kits are a DB lift. Just a bracket bolted to your truck to lower the differential so you can clear larger tires. Most people here don't like them because the ground clearance gained is negligible.
