Tried to install an OEM TRD skid plate today (I have a 3" Toytec ULK with diff drop) but found that the bolts were too short.

Did some trial and error fitments and found that it fit with taking off the existing skid plate (directions say to leave it and put TRD over it), and it looked OK... but was kinda worried that I need to have that on for protection from road debris.

Is it ok to run it like this with only the TRD on? I don't go off-roading all that much, most daily driving.

Even if you left it on they won't protect crap. For just driving down the road you will be fine.

Thanks, I'm probably going to try and just get longer bolts so I can keep both on.
