Been reading how some folks criss cross and rotate in spare, others recommend against it cause no tpms in spare, etc etc. Let's get some stats on what folks do w/ their spare when they rotate their tires.

When I put a dent in one of my rims shortly after buying it I thought no problem, just switch it with the spare. I was disappointed to see a steel rim but now I have slightly larger tires so that's completely out of the question now.

Nope, I do not rotate in my spare. BTW, my stock spare IS equipped with a TPMS. It's annoying whenever I have to air it up in order to extinguish the low tire pressure light on the dash.

Currently i don't, only because I have a full size trail spare (40% tread). Once I buy new tires tho, I'll probably rotate all 5 since i have a matching spare rim.

Probably figure something out for the TPMS when i start doing it.

Stock was too small when I upped the tire size, so I found an extra OR wheel and put a full size matching tire on and rotate it into the mix.

My truck came with steel wheels - found a set of 5, FJ take off cheap. I rotate 5. Original spare is still the spare that rides under the truck. All 5 TPMS are in a PVC tube under the back seat.

Tacoma is stock and staying that way, Pickup is TBA as of now.
Too much of a PIA, besides, I wouldn't want that ugly Dunlop taking away from the looks of my Wranglers.

I did but only b/c of this 100_1693.jpg in the sidewall of my tire (had truck for 2 weeks), so since my tires came with nitrogen which gave me $100 hazard protection for new tire I got dealership to order me a new "rugged trail" tire....what do they order?? a "rugged terrain" tire wth, so i put original spare tire on aluminum wheel and put the rugged terrain on spare wheel. I could've made them order me the correct tire but i live 40 miles away and wasn't gonna make a second trip.

    Yeah, haha.
I need to take it out from under there and find a spare that's the same size, then figure out how to fit it back under if possible.
