Wheel & Tire Opinions on Lift??

17x9 XD Series 796 wheels on 285 70 17 Open Country A/T's sitting on Bilstein 5100's set at 1.75 and 2" rear blocks.
Will there be any problems rubbing and opinions needed please?

 

Probably ganna be some rubbing, you should post the wheel specs, width, backspacing offset. Then someone more knowledgable can at least give you an idea on what will need to be trimmed

Thanks for the info. Looks like there will be a good bit of cutting!! Any problems with raising the Bilsteins to 2.5? Will I have to replace any front in parts. UCA's possibly? Mainly asking this in regards to making sure the alignment will be possible with it maxed out. Thanks

 

So correct me if I'm wrong. The way to go would be 885's billies set at 0" which should get my truck level w/ the two inch block in the rear, smoother ride, and 285's working all around the truck. Biggest concern is making sure the alignment can be done.

 

I think I am going with 265 70 17's and upgrade the coils to the 885x. That should get the rack fixed in the front w/ the billies set at 0.

 

The 885s should lift the front end around 2.5 inches. That is right around the height that you may have alignment issues, some people do and some people dont i guess. The problem you may have would be not being able to get enough caster, the low caster moves the wheel back in the wheel well, 285s might rub on the cab mount easier with low caster, And your truck might feel like it wanders at high speed. This is all information i have read on this site, i went with 885s and also bought LR uca's but they are not installed yet so i am not speaking from experience.

What do you mean about rake fixed? Are you looking to be level or trying to keep some rake?

 

Try a 275/70/17 I have no rubbing. Neither do others running that size and its only a bit smaller than the 285.

 

You running the scs 6 with 275s? Have you posted pictures? I wanna see!!! Lol

 

Thanks for all the input. Yeah I don't wanna have any alignment issues and risk it maxing the bilsteins out plus I prefer to keep a decent ride. As far as the rake I am exactly an inch higher in the rear. I really dont mind it that much so guess that isnt a problem. I had my alignment redone not to long ago and they said I was pretty much maxed out on the caster, so more than likely raising it anymore would require me to purchase UCA's. Not wanting to go that route at the moment. Thanks all.
