There are 2 TSBs being discussed throughout this thread:

1) The driveline vibration which is TSB 0249-12

2) Axle wrap (rear clunk/thud) which is TSB 0250-12

I've attached both PDF's to this post

Interesting...

I wonder what the fix is?

Toyotacerttech 12-22-2012 09:28 AM

Replacement of leaf springs, transmission mount and install steering wheel damper

jandrews 12-22-2012 09:30 AM

It's axle wrap. Wonder why TMC doesn't just put in a traction bar from factory? This shit has been going on on every Toyota pickup since time began. Factory trac bars would be cheap as shit on the economies of scale that Toyota orders parts. It'd add like nothing to the sticker price.

Edit: Also, I'm gonna laugh when this TSB works for maybe half the folks out there.

Sweet!

Av8er 12-22-2012 09:32 AM

This has to be done under warranty correct?

Toyotacerttech 12-22-2012 09:35 AM

Transmission mount 5y 60k springs and damper 3y 36k

Rotorpilot 12-22-2012 11:06 AM

nice. going in for service day after Christmas!! Great timing Toyota!

pbcolt 12-22-2012 11:18 AM

I wonder what the odds are of getting this done on a lifted truck...

Edit: And 15-25mph? Don't a lot of people have the vib's on take-off (0-10mph)

damn looks like that came out a day late

I think he is referring to the TSB at the top of the list and not the boxed one

May be right.

Didn't some other guys get this fixed with a transmission mount replacement before as well? Not a TSB per se, just a repair?

That's what I mean. My 2007 is long out of even the powertrain warranty. I don't know why they even bothered to put the 2005 and 2006 on the list. That's just a slap in the face.
