    by looking at the v.i.n numbers can you tell what toyo plant your taco is from or is this data on the truck ( orig. price tag) ??????

    First number is the location of the plant. I think Tacoma's have 5 for USA and 3 for Mexico, but there are others for diff manufacturers (its all uniform). You can tell standard options from the VIN, but I'm not sure ow it breaks down. I know that the dealership should be able to tell you.

    Look at the sticker in the drivers door it says there also. If I remember correctly.
