Just bought an 2013 DC Tacoma Mineral Gray today. Wondering what style of nerf bar would look good and what to buy.

Don't waste your time or money on those.

If you want something on the sides make it functional like sliders.

Welcome . Sliders are made to protect your truck "rock sliders" and they function as steps.

Sliders protect the undersides from rocks, trees or what ever and if they poke out far enough cars that park next to you will hit them with their doors instead of the side of your truck.

There are plenty to choose from - I had Westin's on my 2010 and getting Jeg's (Steelcraft mfg) for my 2012. I went with stainless steel, so I wouldn't have to worry about them rotting away.

Is there any that are child friendly? The sliders look like they are open and a foot could get caught through them. Wont be doing any off roading, just an extra step to get up in. Thanks for all the comments.

You can get fill plates for sliders to fill in. I think tho you need steps not sliders

I have the 3"Steelcraft stainless nerf bars from autoanything.com for $190 delivered last week. (there was a 10% off coupon) I have a prerunner, so just a pavement warrior.

My 3 year old can get in and out with them pretty well.

Why not get nerf bars? I know it's a crazy thought but not everyone off roads their truck.
