New Tacoma Owner: Need advice on Bed Covers, Bull Bar, Etc

Looking for some advice on bed covers, ladder racks, and a bull bar.. Thanks in advance..

2010 Double Cab, 64" Bed

 

On the bed cover, first decide if you want hard or soft (a lot like taco's, lol). I have an Access brand soft cover and I would recommend them to anyone.

 

I need some security so i was thinking hard. Looking at the BAK systems but they're pricey. Can you add ladder racks with the cover you have?

 

Bull bar is usually useless in an accident and tend to cause more damage than without. I think that's the general consensus around these parts anyway

 

can look into avid offroad for the bull bar type.
i have one for my lights but has also helped a lot with deer. (hit two, and only bent in maybe half an inch on one side)

 

Why not a shell? can put ladders on top of the shell, and you can have security. As for the bull bar, if that floats your boat, i went down that road and ended up getting a plate bumper. lol. Get what ylu want the first time. Dont settle haha
