Axle weight, GVWR, Curb Weight etc....

Hey,

I want to know what the front axle weight of a 2011 access cab 4 cyl 4x4 Sr5. I am trying to figure out if my overall weight of my truck is being transferred to the front axle.

My info I gathered.......

My trucks GVWR on the door sticker is 2426 kg 5337 Lbs

My truck on the scales with canopy tools etc weighed in at 2460 Kg. 5412 lbs

Sticker for front axle says 1249 kg 2747 lbs

Scale says 1160 kg 2552 lbs

Sticker for rear axle says 1410 kg 3102 lbs

Scale said 1300 kg 2860 lbs

The reason I am asking is I am trying to figure out what front springs to get in an ironman lift kit.

I use my truck for work in the oilpatch in Northern British Columbia and it sees a lot of rough muddy snowy roads. The stock suspension is not quite up to continuous duty at max rating!

A little more info is my curb weight looks to be a hair under 4,000 lbs. But it does not break it down to front and rear axles.

I would go with what the scales are telling you. The weights listed on the sticker(s) are not working for me and they are no longer accurate as you have added the canopy and tools. If that is how you will be loaded the majority of the time that is what you should use.

 

Yeah I would just put it on a scale to figure this stuff out. My rig weighed like 500lbs over curb weight when I put it on a scale and that was pretty much bone stock then.
