i went to take off the chrome emblems on my 09 taco and i used a sponge with some goo off to finish the job now there are rubbing marks going accross where the emblems were.. is there anything i can do to make these marks go away? tried waxing, and its still very noticeable.

hoping i dont have to paint the whole tailgate now.

Post pics. Polishing compound/scratch remover might help.

Yeah, not looking good buddy. Take it to a pro at this point, see what they can do.

You could always put an old school Toyota / Stripe decal on to cover up maybe?

You put a paint stripper on your automotive paint...

    Take it to a pro.

No problem - a little compound, some buffer action, a little glaze and you'll be good as new.

Take it to a body shop, or pro detailer and they should be able to get that out
