I am new to 2nd gen AC trucks, so my question is:

    What does Weathertech mean by

Bodystyle: Access Cab with 2nd Row center storage box/console

    vs.

Bodystyle: Access Cab without 2nd Row center storage box/console

I know I should know this :( I'm not sure what they mean by 2nd Row center storage box/console...

So....do you know what the 2nd row is? Back seat.

So....do you know what a center storage box is? A box between the seats to put crap in.

So....do you know what a console is? Its the lid for the center storage box with drink holders in it.

    Hope that helps?

I do know what a 2nd row, storage box & center console are. I don't know if what I have is considered a storage box/console, mr. genius. I said I was unfamiliar with 2nd gen access cabs...

My rear interior looks like this:

Is this what Weathertech is referring to as 'center storage box/console'?

I've not seen any other rear configuration...

You have the center console...without looks like this...

2005-2008 access cab was this way...

The bottom seats tumble forward to make a completely flat surface...

The reason I asked is the 'console' in my access cab does not actually have any storage in it, other than the front cubby. It has no lid, no cup holders, and does not hold anything other than the two seat belt clips. If what you show in the above photo was phased out, I was wondering why Weathertech is asking, since I had not seen any other rear configuration.

Did you read my post, and look at the pictures?

There are two configurations to the rear seat...the change came in the 2009 model year.
Hence the reason why the manufacturer (weathertech) offers two styles of liner...

I did read your post and see the pictures. However, the first thing Weathertech asks is what year you have. Since I have a 2013, I am wondering why they ask, since the previous configuration is no longer offered.

I'm not an idiot, though it may seem like it. You keep showing me photos of the previous configuration, but mine is a 2013. Since that is no longer offered, why does Weathertech ask if I have that?

I didn't realize that the console design changed for your model year, I apologize. You still have a console though. Best thing is to contact weathertech to discuss design changes.

Others have ordered the non-console mat, and installed it under the console by removing/reinstalling console

I think it is a standard question on the order sheet...same if you order for a 2005, they ask if you have a console or not, even though it was never offered

I still think you should order for the consol, but I'd just wait and call them in the am...

Then update the thread for other's benefit, please

I very much appreciate your input - I do remember other posts about owners ordering the liner for the rear without the console, but I did not connect the dots...

I plan to contact Weathertech to clarify the ordering details. The whole thing confused me because when ordering online, you put in the make, model, year, cab configuration, whether you have the twist floor connectors in the front (only option offered) and then comes the question about with or without rear storage box/console, and I thought maybe there might be a different rear console that actually was for storage and had a lid, like in your photos. Sorry I seemed so thick. Thanks for the help.

no worries, I had the same mystery in my head when I got my AC...then I figured 'console' means 2 possible things: cup holders only (mine) or box w/lid.

both same as far as rear seat mat fitment

Seeing that AC picture of the lower seat fold flat for load carry makes me think about the Dodge I had with something like that.

I now have a 2012 DC and the way the seats are they fold and waste a ton of room.
Plus it it not really flat.

I think for this fall, hunting I will just pull the full rear seat out and add a board with support to make it flat.
Something like the folding seat on an AC that makes a lower more flat deck.

Did you get Weathertech digital liners for your truck? If so, any photos available?

no I didn't, I have stock mats in back and Husky liners in front

I have weathertechs in the Yaris.

I deal with snow and salt for 5 months and learned
Husky goes further under the throttle and over the
dead pedal and keeps crap off the carpet better.

Weathertechs are wicked nice but they ultimately allow
crap to fall underneath in the throttle and dead pedal zone

It will take them until 2014 to figure out what the 2013 has and put it in the database. Until then you have to guess.

Now you have me thinking...after all the back and forth about the rear, it's not nearly as important as in the double cab I had previously, where feet drag all kinds of stuff in. I don't plan to carry any people back there. I think I will concentrate on just getting liners for the front and maybe deal with the rear later should the need arise.

I liked the Weathertechs I had on my '05, but I would like to know more about the Husky liners...I know some swear by those also...how do they compare protection-wise in your view, and do you have a good source for those that has some good pricing?

    Thanks.
