HELP!!!!

Hey boys, so took my truck mudboggin yesterday and stunk pretty good. First time she's ever gotten stuck. So once I got pulled out she was fine but today she is makin screeching noises in the front wheels it sounds like but not in reverse. I power washed all the mud off underneath but it still is pretty loud.

I don't like my baby bein sick! Any suggestions?

 

Remove your wheels and inspect the brake pads and rotors. Look for dirt/mud that has gotten caught up in that area. That is my suggestion.

 

Muddy serpentine belt, perhaps.

 

take off the front tires and wash the inside of the rims and the brake calipers, what your hearing is mud caught in the brakes

Drive in reverse and apply the brakes multiple times.....

 

Or just drive around in reverse if it only makes the noise going forward

 

This has happened to me twice....once in front & back. The debris around the rotors/dust shield came out on it's own eventually.

 

While it may come out on it's own, it is not a good idea to have that stuff caked around brake components. Things like that get caught up in the brake bad and can quickly ruin a rotor and pads. Best for him to clean it out.

 

Also check around the outboard CV joints where they meet the spindle - there is a steel slinger on the CV, and a pocket in the top of the spindle that holds pebbles, etc. I've had those exact symptoms, that was where my issue was found. Not caused by mud bogging in my case, just a small mudhole between home a fishing hole.
