08 Composite beds

    How long have the composite beds been standard on Tacoma's?

    Whats the general consences on them?

    28/20 Tint, Hood Protector, Vent Visors, 3" AAL's, Front Level Kit, Gas Shocks in the Rear, Tow Hitch, Black Step-Bars, Bull Bar, Off Road Lights
    They started on the 05's. They are good because they can't rust, and they are lighter to help on gas mileage. However, things slide around like on a drop in bed liner. The best way to resolve that is to get a bed mat from Toyota, they really help with the sliding.

    Well, that is just my thoughts on it!!

    Seeing the third gen section forced me to get a Ford...
    yup...the mat is a lifesaver. definately a must have. someone on here actually rhino lined theirs, but i think that was a little too much.

    I just put a DeeZee heavy duty mat from Autoanything.com. With code it cost me 62.00. Nice mat that stops the sliding stuff.:thumbsup:

    i love my bed (especially my outlet :)), to keep stuff from sliding around i use rope, bungee cords, ratchet straps and the many tie down points all over the bed (D-rings and bed rail system). So far i have no complaints with the bed liner
