Pre-Ordering info is up now: http://www.addictedoffroad.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=1&products_id=698

Okay, so here we go. We built a new winch bumper for the FJ Cruiser today. This is still in R&D, but what it means is that a 2nd gen Tacoma/4th gen 4runner is right around the corner. I have a couple 4th gens that I plan to use for mock up next. And, if the frame mounting is the same or even similar to the FJ, then this will be a reality pretty soon.

We hope to keep design lines very similar. Its a hybrid bumper, but isn't your typical massively bulky 4th gen bumper. This will have a VERY good approach angle, integrated D-ring shackle mounts in the winch plate, Light tabs, and we are playing with the idea of a fog light mounting hole in it.

Again, This is NOT a finished product. Its just in R&D right now. Its literally just tacked together, and we have more to add. Stay tuned.......

The mounting system for these is going to be a lot more work than our other models, so it will be a little more as there is more fabwork in building it. Its basically a two piece system consisting of the mounting crossmember and and the bumper itself. The crossmember will have an intergrated skid plate in it to help protect the A/C condenser. That piece will extend back to the lower skid.

That being said, it will likely come in under $1000 making it a viable option at a lower price price point than most of the other bumpers on the market for a 4th gen/Tacoma/FJ. We are hoping that the mounting system can cross over to 4th gens, and 2nd gen Tacomas, and this will allow us to have one universal mounting crossmember that spans a good range of years/vehicles.

The FJ Cruiser version should be ready for pre-ordering later this week. We are finishing up the bumper and mounting system today and tomorrow. So, I will update it.

We also will have a 4th gen 4runner coming in soon for the mock up as well. I looked at an 03' yesterday and the mounting system looks identical. So, that should help with keep the crossmembers the same. But, I will need a later 06-09 to make sure they are all the same.

I hope to have the 4th gen ready for pre-ordering in 2-3 weeks as well.

Looks good! Crossmember for 06+ should be identical, 3/1 studs and the threaded hole on the rad support.

That turned out really nice. Integrated bull style bar looks pretty strong.

Here it is. The long waited 4th gen 4runner bumper.

Pricing will be $899 for pre-orders. We estimate 6 weeks to be shipping these. We are jigging tomorrow and will have the wings sent out for CAD/CNC Press bend work asap.

These are 100% bolt on bumpers. We supply you with a crossmember(with built in skid) to mount it to the frame. So, its a modular two piece design consisting of the crossmember and bumper.

It would triple the cost as it would double the material cost and triple the labor cast. TIG welding something like this would be a nightmare.

IFS skids will work fine with this as they mount just behind it.

Not to get an exact weight. But, that is why its close. The general design is the same as our 3rd gen as far as the bumper itself. Which we have weighed. The crossmember on this will add 5-7lbs more weight though.

We have weighed the 3rd gen at 78lbs by itself. Crossmember for a 4th gen will be around 15-18lbs overall.
