Fat Bobs coilover?

Is anyone using this 500$ coilover?? I hope it would be a good entry level adjustable coilover

 

I bought the same one for my tundra when I had it and I reAlly liked them. Dunno how different it is for tacos through

 

Thanks I mean 500 has me worried but maybe just maybe the are a hidden gem lol

 

Saw these on EBay and wondered the same. Only info I found on here was with 5 lug tacos.

 

Look like chinese 5100 with a threaded body. I dont know anything about it. There may be less time spent designing, sourcing materials, testing different valving for each model, durability may be different. Unfortunately a picture of the exterior of the shock isnt very descriptive in these areas.

 

I contacted them and they told me it was the exact same valving as the 5100s, i cant recall the spring rate tho

 

The company seems great send them a message on fb and less than 5 minutes later got a response they said the spring rate is 600 lb and they have lifetime warranty and no one has sent the coilover back in the 3 years they have been selling them.

 

Also they offer military discount sounds like I figured out my lift quest lol

Like I said earlier I never had any issues with mine and it also came with spanner wrenches instead of having to buy them like some places. On the tundra forums there was a guy that was doing some serious romping and ended up breaking a shock I can't remember where exactly and he called fat bobs and they sent him one without issue and he sent his back to them so they could analyze it.

 

Yeah when my taxes come in I'm going with new ucas rear aal fat bobs coilover and new rear shocks I'll post pics and a review

 

Why not spend $200 more and get the Fox 2.0 coilovers? I have them and they are great, can be rebuilt and it's an American company.

 

this is nothing more (same as the toytec ones) than a standard bilstein with a 2 dollar threaded collar and matchin big ass nut....

 

Erik, I PM'd Chas about those and the code you gave me but didn't hear back. Any update as to the code you gave me working? I was also curious if the 2.0 could be rebuilt. I guess you answered that.

 

I don't have 200 more and I need to stop this just a little more and I can get this a little more I can get that. I'm not expecting to get these 500$ coilover and go hit some sweet jumps lol just want easy adjustability and decent ride. The just a little more game is not one I can afford to play. Also 200 more would be almost a 50% increase increase in price so thanks for your suggestion.

 

Good looking out man I just really want the ease of adjustable coilover. Looks like 10 people will be getting good deals though.

Yeah they should be ordered in the next week or two and I will take pics of install and do a review

 

Ordered the coilover aal LR ucas and rear shocks for 1070.00 delivered. Will let yall know when I put them in.
