Dumped exhaust, 35 % factory tint, kobalt slim line toolbox, afe pro dry, toyota all weather mats, fog lights soon.
On my 05 jeep TJ the maximum hieght you can lift it without having to drop the transfer case and modify control arms is 2.5"

What is the "Magic #" of an 09 Tacoma, are there slight vibrations at that lift?

    thanks for the help!

Just like a TJ...it probably depends. Each situation is different.

I had a 96 tacoma that had 3" lift in the rear after the lift was installed - I needed 2.5* shims. THe lift settled down to about 2.5".

If might also vary in what cab size you have.....reg cab, access cab, double cab short bed, double cab long bed. The longer the distance between the tcase & diff...the better.
