quick question. What is the weight difference between the 16" base 4x4 rims and the 16" alloys. also will the tpms sensors off the steel rims fit on the alloy rims. Finally, if the don't fit can i just roll without them?.....is the tpms light easy to disengage. Thanks

    what year is your truck?
with my 09, the steel wheels are heaver than the alloy wheels.
the sensors in my steel wheels would not fit on my allow wheels.
I put the sensors in a wheel barrow tire and aired it up to 32psi and that fixed my sensor problem on the dash. Have not had it light up since the wheel barrow fix.
do a search on here for TPMS and you will find out how to disable it to some degree. there are several fixes.
You might have a sensor in your spare tire ...depending on the model of your truck...so always let us know what year and type of truck you are talking about and we will try to help.

    welcome to the forum.

I found a set of TRD off road wheels with tires, sensors, and lugs for $720 on Craigslist. They had about 500 miles on them. Next I paid $45 at Toyota to re-scan the new sensors. I then sold my stock steel wheels and tires with the old sensors still in them on Craigslist for $350. So for $415 I got the stock TRD wheels that I wanted.

^Either that or black tape over the dash light. You can get a small enough wheel/tire to fit behind the rear seat, though.
