I was thinking of buying a Westin bull bar for my 2010 Toyota Tacoma. I read on one of the bull bars that you have to take off the OEM skid plate. Is that right? If so, does anyone else have any other bull bars that work? I wanted to mount some KC foglights on the front, but I don't want to mount them to the bumper.

I installed the Westin Bull bar a few weeks ago, no removal of the skid plate. The only thing that you remove is the tow hook

That's good to hear. I am still trying to decide if I want the bull bar or another light bar like the KC Hilites bar or the Avid bar.

i installed the westin bull bar and although I did not have the factory skid plate I did not have to remove the tow hook. Have a few pics of it in my gallery if you wanna see how it looks.
