Performance Mufflers for a 2.7L Taco

Hey Everyone,

I am wondering if anyone knows what the exhaust diameter is for the 2.7L tacoma's. I think that it's 2.25in. I recently bought a Cherry Bomb Votex muffler (part # 88105) with 3in inlet and outlet pipes (as recomended by the boys @ cherry bomb) it looks way too big to fit, and I am thinking of returning it, any thoughts?

 

That might be a little to big. I would go down to your local muffler shop and see if they can expand your pipe to fit, otherwise downsize. I ran a 2.5 inlet/outlet on my 4.0L because it made the most sense.

 

Thanx for the advice, I am heading to my local Speedy Muffler shop on Tuesday, to see. But ur right i might end up down sizing.

 

I know I'm a little late in posting (just joined) but I have a cherry bomb extreme (2.5 in and out) on my 08' 2.7 L taco. The exhaust diameter on 4 cil 2nd gen tacomas is 2.5" On 1st gen 4 bangers it is 2.25". What cherry bomb did you end up gettin?
