LED colored lights illegal?

Would an interior (dome) light that lets say, is blue, would that be illegal? or anything? cause I thought some certain colors of lights were illegal on vehicles...

 

Interior lights should be no problem. You can do whatever color you want in those. Its the exterior lights you need to watch out for.

 

i dont see why it would be a problem unless you are driving around town showing everyone you have LED lights on in the cab of your truck, lol... which would be pretty gay!

might sit down by the river with them on.... then again, driving down the interstate, if you had to hit a light real quick to get somthing... thats the other thing

 

Well if you are parked I dont think they give a crap but like the other guy said, if you got like red and blue ones just constantly on inside the cab while driving, they might be able to pull you over and have a say in it.

I just thought I would ask cause I was curious if anyone would say it is

 

It varies state-by-state, but in a previous discussion (years ago) on the topic in my state we found that if the light was visible directly from anywhere outside the vehicle, it could be cited. So a blue dome light, which might be visible, would be out--but blue footwell lights (with the lamp under the dash) would not.
