Have you done anything to it recently, like added/modified the air intake?

I'd try clearing them and see if they come back. It could just be the Gas cap wasn't tight enough or something and they haven't cleared. Other than that, check that all the EVAP hoses are connected and secure.

Since it's emissions, and you're stock. Go to the dealer. The emissions warranty goes longer than the power train.

    Hey Brandon,

My problem was the purge hose in the engine bay was old and had a hole in the line once I replced it and erased the codes no more problems. The purge hose is on the drivers side. Purge hosse was $14.00 from Toyota

    Hey Brandon,

My CEL came on today and I scanned it and I have the exact same two codes you did. Did you ever find out what it was or get it fixed? Any help would be greatly appreciated. I hate going to the stealership!

    Thanks!

It could be something as simple as the purge VSV stuck open

sorry for bringing a thread back from the dead but many of these threads people post them and never post what was done to fix it .. well, last year I repaired Brandons truck performed smoke test and couldn't find any problems removed fuel tank for the well known issue with the fuel pump and that wasn't the issue either .. turned out to be a bad charcoal canister .. its been over a year now and he no longer has a CEL

I am just chiming in for those who, like me, stumble across this thread when doing a Google search after having the check engine light come on and finding out they have the same two codes. In my case I was fortunate enough that just reseating the gas cap fixed it for me. I have an aftermarket gas cap because I want one that locks. I had to check engine light come on, I put the scanner on the truck to check the codes, found these two, cleared the codes, reseated the gas cap and all has been fine since.

Just as another datapoint, my '10 Tacoma with the 2.7L 4cyl & 80k miles showed a check engine light & trac control light, & threw the 0441 & 0455 codes, but upon filling the tank, I noticed that the gas cap was a little loose. I had the codes read & cleared, tightened the stock gas cap correctly, & in 700 miles the issue hasn't come back. I got lucky, but maybe this will help someone out.

You'd need an OBDII reader to do it & it plugs into the obd port under your dash. I just stopped by my local shop & he read & cleared the codes for me in a minute. I've heard many auto parts stores will do this for you for free too.
