politicians need to understand that its not always about getting their way, or their parties, way. its about compromising so that everyone gets something, instead of some getting all, some getting none, and in this case, everyone getting nothing. reps and dems are both equally to blame for letting the process get so useless and focusing on their political career instead of the people they "represent"

This is crap from the democrats. The last issue at hand is planned parenthood. As far as the budget issue goes, the GOP is proposing to cut the budget to PP, not to make abortions illegal altogether.

in my opinion, public funds should not go to a service that provides abortions just as it shouldn't pay for some guy's vascetomy or anything else. There are too many people and organizations living off the teat and our government cant sustain it anymore. The issue at hand isn't planned parenthood itself. They are just requesting a cut in their funding.

Crazy thing is, both parties want this. The dems want it because they think the public will be outraged and the republicans want it because it means all non-essential people wont be working, pushing paper and getting a chushy government job for doing nothing.

i dont think either side wants this. nobody wants their name associated with being responsible for shutting an entire nations government down, fucking over the citizens that elect them, i dont care which side they're on, its a bad black eye on their record.

Well, my department determined I was excepted. None of us can take leave at all and have to cancel if we had scheduled leave already. Crappy thing is depending how long this goes on, our paychecks won't show, even though we work. It looks like that is the same way with the military. Washington....pull it together.

This smells like a political thread so I will refrain from itemizing the insane bullshit going on how retarded the priority list is that was posted above. How bout we start at the top of the pyramid scam in DC and go down from there for those to not get fucking paid!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!? They sure haven't earned any!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think I will try to maintain a high banning to thread closure ratio. That should keep me in the top two.
