I have just put on a set of aftermarket projector headlights on my 09 tacoma and I love em. The light cuttoff is not bad at all. It came with HID's with a 6000K color bulbs and I am wanting to match my fog lights with the same color. I do not want to upgrade the fogs to an HID, because I don't want to blind everyone. I have found some halogen bulbs that have a temperature of 6000K. Will the color of the light from the halogen be the same or different from the HID because of a different type of bulb?

Thank you in advance and I am up for any suggestion.

no halogen bulb will match a hid bulb in color.

    the list is growing
Well technically your halogen fog lamps are running around 3000k in color temp. In HID terms though, 3000k is a good bit more yellow. D.O.T. specifies that your HID setup run at 4100k. 100% of cars made for america that have factory HID's will have this color temp bulb.

I would personally just go with a 4300k or a 4500k color. It will be slightly whiter then your fog lights but not as harsh on the eyes like that blue light.

Bought my pops some 8k lights for his BMW toreplace the factory 5300k. Then got some 8k halogens for the fogs (can't remember where) and they look teal color. Avoid hid halogen color matching haha
