Well, here comes the mod bug again. One of the things that I really wanted this time was to get a TRD that already had some of the mods installed at the dealer. So I searched for months and finally found this TRD Tacoma with a 3" Revtek lift, 33" Mickey Thompson Baja's and RBP accessories.

Here are some shots at the dealer:

So I am starting with some small things first while I get the whole wish list ready.

The first weekend was painting some red accents:

I wanted to get rid off all the chrome bling on the truck so off came the grill:

    And time for some paint:

    Ahhh.... Much better...

Next it was time to black out the tails and throw on some Redskins love:

Hmmm, where to put my tools?

Last for now but WAY more mods are coming! The headlight black outs:

    All Pro Sliders

    All Pro Front

    All Pro IFS Skid

Since I got pulled over for my blackout covers, I decided to go with these:

    First light.

    Both in.

Time to kill the rear leafs! How can Yota put these on with a straight face?

    Upgraded to AllPro.

Now the front is sagging due to the Revtek puck and the weight of the Allpro front armor.

Getting rid of that on Friday ;)

Thanks for checkin out my build :D

Nice! i think it looks pretty mean. i also think you may have over paid for the rbp stuff. i dont really like the blingyness of it.

Yeah, the first thing that I did was drop the side bars and paint the chrome. Then off came the chrome accents on the rims. WAY too much bling at first for me.

Truck looks good. What did you use to Blackout the lights and how did you prep and paint the grille?

Thanks! The headlights and tails are actually AVS plastic covers. They are held on by 3M tape and velcro so I can rip em' off quick if needed.

As for the paint, I used Dupli-color Perfect Match Toyota Black. Only prep was a really fine sand paper. Then a ton of light coats and finally the protective clear coat finish. I was pretty amazed at how well it came out.

I like the dark tails but I am unsure if I want to do the night shades on mine. I will look into the covers now that I see how good they look on your truck.

I have a stock chrome grille in the attic that I am thinking about painting. I done a satoshi mod on another grille but it would be nice to be able to switch up the look of the truck every once in a while :).

Yeah man I hear ya. I looked into all sorts of after market tails and even painting, but the beauty of the covers is that you can just rip them off if needed.

With how easy the grill comes right out, it would be awesome to be able to pull off a nose job just to change the look! That is a great idea!

It came pretty blingy. They put on an RBP grill and I could not handle the chrome.

Nice truck man! It looks great. What rims are those? Do you have any pictures (close-ups) before and after paint?

    Thanks
