I'm going to be THAT GUY and say that I hate them, except when conditions call for them. As an oncoming driver, I just feel like the other drivers have their brights on at all times so I often will bright them. When I am driving I don't like them because even though they may shine some light out more to the sides of the road, their beam is so short that by the time you were to see anything in the small window that it covers, it is likely already too late... I also feel that when my fogs are on, I tend to focus more on right in front of the truck instead of out further. That's just me, and this is just my opinion. I haven't any room to judge anyone

Please don't convert them. There's no glare protection in the fogs and you will blind the shit out of other drivers. :(

A few mods here and there and counting....
Only when the weather is bad, ie rain, fog, ect. Otherwise, my soon to be retrofit will do just fine on its own.

Leave them on all the time when the lights are on. They make a difference.

I've used mine as actual fog lights once. I was driving way too fast for conditions through a mountain pass after heavy snow. There was a lot of traffic, it was overcast and almost "flat light" (if you've seen that), and I couldn't tell where the edge of the road was. I used the fog lights to tell where the edge of the road was, so I could stay out of the deep stuff.

I was going around 50 though, which if I'm honest, was way too fast for conditions. I was in 4WD with Blizzaks though, and the truck handled great!

I have 35w HIDs in my fogs. I drive to work at 04:30 every morning so I use them every day on the way to work. They only require parking lights be on and are independent of the headlights and don't go off with brights. I use them all the time when it's dark. They are just as bright as my low beams but nowhere near bright as my halogen brights. Daytime, I use nothing unless really bad weather or maybe holiday.
