Just saw a report on the TV today about the gas prices, they said by mid to end of the summer we will be paying on an average $6.00 a gal in the US. England is paying an average of $7.00 dollars a gal now.

    Today's average price:

    CT $4.09 - 1 yr ago today $2.97

    NJ $3.83 - 1 yr ago today $2.69

    NY $4.03- 1 yr ago today $3.00

When is Obama going to open up the oil reserve to help out and lower these prices a little? These Tacoma's don't get that good gas mileage.

This country will never do that until all the oil in the world is gone. And our oil prices will be crazy high like $373947283 a gallon

I actually had my friend bitch about gas prices on his smart car. I was tempted to go outside and siphon some of his gas into my truck. He's only getting 40 - 42 MPG avg....

    .

It has been all over the news & financial publications that .... "oil supplies are actually UP ".... and this price hike is primarily from "speculators & futures markets".

The "Wall Street gang & the oil boys" are making the money on this round. This includes the oil companies too, as they get "percentage profits" on the final price.

Damn straight. It's all speculation and profit mongering. The housing market is still in the shitter, so all that real estate money has been transferred back to commodities like oil and gold. Just look at how crazy fucked up high the stock market is ... it totally doesn't reflect the realities on the ground, where most Americans continue to hurt. Good thing we bailed those guys out.
