Differential drop, not seated right?

Put my front diff drop in and I noticed it doesn't look right. The piece on the bottom doesn't sit flat. See pic below and you'll know what I'm talking about. Is this normal or did I do something wrong along the way?

 

The instructions said to re-use the factory washers, but the factory washers don't come off the bolt. Is this where the problem lies?lol

What the hell I just took the drop out, and re did it with spacers and it still looks like that. I been noticing a little clunk goin over slow bumps now too probobly related? Think ill just ditch the diff drop I didn't even notice a difference in cv angles.

Edit: clunk noise still persistent with diff drop out. Guess I'll throw it back in tomorrow might as well use it since i bought it.

 

Does the diff drop adjust the suspension height? Got a 3" sus lift now and am going to add Fabtech shocks that are adjustable was told to get a diff drop to help with the angle of the cv but I don't want it to lower the front end. Be gentle...

 

First, it is never a good idea to "stack" lifts. If you already have a spacer lift, it is not a good idea to add adjustable coilovers to increase beyond 3".

A diff drop, as the name implies, lowers the diff just a smidge. This in turn, helps with the axle angles. If you will post a pic of your axles, it'll help to know whether or not it will help in your situation.

 

I have the diff drop, read up plenty articles about it got mixed reviews, decided what the hell and bought the toytec one, just by my eyes it doesnt look like it did anything to the cv angle. Just ended up lowering my shocks to 2.25" left the diff drop in.
