    FAQ's
    ________________________________________

For any ?'s read through here first:

Q: What's included in the registration package?

A: Registration gains entry for the driver and any passengers and includes (1) Driver T-shirt, (2) Saturday Night Meal Tickets, (4) nights camping w/ showers, Thursday night through Sunday night, no matter how many you choose to stay, (3) days of guided wheeling, some SETTORA swag, and a few surprises!

Extra tshirts and meal tickets can be purchased on the registration form.

    Q: How do I pay?

A: Via paypal (preferred), check, Postal Money Orders, or CASH --- all paid in advance.

Q: What if I miss the registration deadline?

A: We need to know how many attendees will be there in order to be prepared for everyone. Requiring advanced registration is the only way we can be sure to have enough food, giveaways, camping space, trail guides, etc. This year ALL ATTENDEES must register in advance and complete a registration form.

After August 15th, it will be too late to order a tshirt, we will have few, if any extras on hand, and they probably won’t be in your size. Sign up early, we hope to see you there!

If you can only show up one day and want to wheel it is the very basic registration cost of $25. That gets you wheeling and some SETTORA swag. No tshirt, no meal tickets, no camping.

Q: I'm new, have never attended a TTORA event, can I still come?

A: Yes! As long as you've got a Toyota, you're invited. Just register and pay before the deadlines, and show up ready to wheel! Just know ... THIS IS AN OFF-ROADING EVENT. If you're not into wheeling, don't bother ;)

Also, due to circumstances last year, EVERYONE (passengers included) that comes through the gate will be required to provide certain contact information, including name, address, phone number, emergency contact information, etc. IF we don't know you, we might ask for additional information. If you're not ok with that, you might want to sit this one out.

Q: What else should I bring money for?

A: Anything you can think of but not limited to, gas, trail food, raffle tickets, more SETTORA swag, etc. Last year the campground sold food throughout the event, Breakfast, lunch, and extras if you were still hungry after dinner. Remember: cash is king!

Q: Do I need to make reservation's with the campground?

A: If you're attending the event, you're camping with us; all you need to do is register and pay, we'll take care of the rest.

    Q: RV or motorhomes allowed?

A: Yes, although it requires an additional $20 charge and space is limited at (4) RV spots. Please let us know if you’ll be bringing an RV and require water/sewer/power hook-ups.

    Q: Towing/trailering?

A: There is plenty of space at the campground. But the tent area is heavily forested so trailers will have designated parking. We will direct you upon arrival. Trailers may be left attached or detached so the tow rig can park closer to your tent.

Q: How do I get there?
-I will post directions soon! Sorry for the delay!

    A: From Nashville

    From Chattanooga

Q: What are the trails like?

A: very Tellico-esque, from mild to wild. If you have a 4x4 or Prerunner Tacoma, 4Runner, or 4wd Toyota there will be an adventure for you.

There are some scenic runs, a handful of caves that can be visited, forest service type roads etc. Then there are dry creekbeds with any obstacle/line you can imagine for the moderate to extreme. And there are numerous trails that will challenge the extreme/raisin crowd. No matter what trail group you are in, you will see some beautiful landscapes.

Q: Where's the map and can I take off on my own? Is it OK to leave my trail guide/group?

A: There is NO map. This event utilizes LOCAL trail guides who know the property well and will make the most of your trail ride. When you register/check-in at the event, you'll have the opportunity to sign up for the rides you want to take part in for each day. Because of the vast area in the Cove, we do not encourage you to trek out on your own.

Your trail guide will not leave you - so please don't leave your trail guide.
There are more trails/roads than you could imagine down in the Cove, and you could get lost forever :D. If you willingly leave your group and get lost - don't expect us to come looking for you ;) We don't want to be late for dinner!

Q: What are my chances for body damage?

A: If you desire some, we can make it happen. Otherwise the trails, with the exception of the buggy level trails, are fairly open and have multiple lines and occasional bypasses. Unless you get really crazy, the worst you can expect is some light pin striping from occasional overhanging branches.

Q: What if I want to see trails above my vehicle's capabilities?

A: If there are open seats, we can try and put you in one with an advanced group, otherwise there may be opportunities where your group may come upon another group working their way up a harder trail within sight or walking distance. We want everyone to have the best time possible, so its in the best interest of the entire crowd to go only on trail rides for which you are properly equipped.

Q: Do I need to pack a lunch?

A: More so, yes. At least bring a few drinks and some snacks. Trail rides will head out around 1pm on Friday and be back around 6pm and head out between 9-10am and will be back 3-5pm on Saturday and as late as you can handle on Sunday.

Q: How much are raffle tickets?

    A: $1 each.

Q: What color are the shirts and what do they look like?

    A: Its still a surprise!

Q: Can my buddy bring his non-Toyota 4wd?

A: We're all on the same team, but this is an all Toyota event. We put this together for the enjoyment of our membership. Must own/drive a 4wd/Prerunner or trail capable Toyota or mostly Toyota rig to attend with the exception of our trail guides, host club, and sponsors for obvious reasons. If you have any questions, concerns, or requests about any exceptions dont be afraid to contact me. -got cope?

Q: What if I'm not street legal?

A: You can trailer to the trails or drive in the middle of the pack at your own risk. State Troopers do patrol the area and could pull you over. You will not see a road with more than two lanes, and will only be on the main hwy. for 4-5 miles, the rest is on back roads to the trails where you will be unlikely to see any LEO. If there is any doubt, you are welcome to trailer to the trail, there are accommodations for that.

BTW - we plan this event for Labor Day weekend because it's a 3-day weekend, giving everyone enough time to make the trip worth it! Arrive any time after Thursday night, and stay til your heart desires on Monday all for the same camping rate!! $30 for shaded camping + flush toilets and hot showers!

    FYI:

Southeast Takeover has teamed up with Brian from WabFab to bring the best of his Southeast 4Runner Jamboree to our event!

It'll still be the good ol SETO, but with a little bit of WabFab goodness thrown in the mix!

You can come! Some sliders would help though. There were a couple stock trucks last year. There was a pre-runner last year and he did great.

If I can get new tires on the truck before the registration deadline ends, I'll go. Looks like fun. I've never made it to takeover in the few years I've been on TTORA. The time has come.
