2011 Rg cab - Lift/Wheels/Tires pics

hey guys finally finished messing with my truck for now... after i get the front diff drop in i went with a 3" Rough Country Lift kit, 4 degree axle shims in the rear, 265/75/17 Wild Spirit TXR's on 17" Sport wheels. I'd like to go with a 285 or 305 in the near future...

I also used this shit called equal to balance my tires, dont use it, it sucks. I now need to pay AGAIN to have them take that shit out, and Road force balance my tires before i chew them up... :/

 

Looks good! How high of a lift did you put on the back?

 

2" blocks... waiting for it to settle lol I was so worried about the front being higher than the back that i made the back like MAYBE an inch higher than the front...

If it were me, I might end up painting that toolbox black. Of course, that would make it even hotter to the touch on a sunny day than it already is.

If you go to 285s on 17" wheels, I think you'll end up wanting to switch down to 70 series: i.e. 285/70R17 unless you want to remove your flares completely and/or cut into the fender metal to make more room.

 

Well if you got blocks, there shouldnt be any settling. Or am I wrong? I know an AAL would settle.

 

i have the factory TSB AAL's that JUST got put in.. and they havent settled yet, so im hoping they will at some point... when stock, it still sits higher in the back due to those lol

 

Ohhhh...so yeah, your probably sitting at 3-3.5"s of lift in the rear then.

Hey OP, you said you have the TSB AALs on your truck.

Did you get the rear spring TSB done? I thought it was just for access and double cabs?

 

yeah haha i took it to the dealer, asked them if there was a TSB for it, they looked it up, ordered the parts, and put them in a week later no questions asked.

so im getting a little vibration in the front from 25-30mph, it feels almost like a bad u-joint but i had them checked and they replaced one, no difference... i have a front diff drop kit that i havent installed yet, do you guys think that would get rid of the vibes? i already put 4 degree axle shims in and they made it a little better, took care of the shudder from 0-10mph, and the gas pedal vibes at 55mph.. but im not sure what else to do... its been like this since i lifted it, there absolutely no play in the front cv axles, its doesnt change when i put it in 4wd, im thinking that the cv's being at a higher angle is causing it... anyone else with this problem? it also doesnt matter if im accelerating, decelerating, or coasting with the clutch pedal in, and its only from like 25mph - 30 mph, but its enough to feel like im driving down a rumble strip for that short period of time..
