    No, the sparks should not cause any problems. You may shoot down the engine bay with water before you grind the heads off the bolts if your paranoid..... but I had lots of sparks flying and no problem. The bolt head is on the opposite side of the fuel line (forward of the UCA assembly). Good luck, sounds like you are on track.

    I like both of those setups as well, but I live in the Pacific Northwest where we have moss growing on our roofs. I wanted the rubber boot around the ball joint since it is normally very sloppy around here.

    If I lived in Carlsbad I would:

    #1) Be stoked as hell;
    #2) Drive a pre runner with long travel;
    #3) Be warm and dry.

    Well, I got my LR units in today...maybe I'm anal or slow, but it took me 3 hours. I ended up bending the metal back which took some time, but I was also able to put the bolts back correctly. I was gonna cut, but was really paranoid of f-ing something up. Now I just have to get it aligned, then my new wheels can go on :)
    Thanks for the help guys.

    Strong work! Now onto the wheels and tires - mine really felt different with the 33's - in a good fun way.

    I ended up taking off the mudflaps, and did not need to cut the body mount frame extension that is behind the mudflap - at least for now, I need to wait for an opportunity to bounce it of some rocks to see if it rubs.

    I'm loving my LR's.

    Perfect alignment, easy driving on and off road! I think the ball joints are well protected from the elements of salt, sand etc.

    I really wanna order a set of Camburgs. The camburgs dont come with ball joints in them, correct? So can you just swap out your old ball joints? is it easy?

    Is there any advantage to the moog ball joints? and if so where did you get them..

    Correct. You could rent a ball joint press and do it yourself or have a shop press them in for you. I had a shop do mine, it was cheap.

    Adam, did you see my Built Rights at the meet Saturday? I've had them for a while and love them. Totally changed the feel of driving over stock. No more wandering. Any of those would work for what you want to do. I would stick with LR or Built Right.

    did the built rights come ready to go? Im thinking that if i have to buy new ball joints for the camburg ones and get a shop to install them, the built right uniballs might even be cheaper.
